Fred Brown Recovery Services needs volunteers to help with the “Freedom in Recovery” Comedy & Trivia Night on November 1, 2024, at James Armstrong Theater in Torrance, CA (3330 Civic Center Dr, Torrance, CA 90503.

To sign up, please fill out the form to the right. You may volunteer for one or more than one shift as long as they are at different times. All volunteers will receive one ticket to the Comedy & Trivia Night for each shift worked.

Concession service, merchandise service, and ticket taking will all begin at 5 pm November 1, 2024 and continue until as late as 9:30 pm.

Concessions responsibilities include:

• Serving snacks and drinks to attendees, which will include drinks on coolers & ice and bags of snacks, popcorn and candy
• Collecting payment for snacks and drinks, which will include cash as well as using a credit card reader.
• One training session prior to the event, or at 4 pm on November 1st.
• Each concession shift will last one hour. Before and after your service commitment, you are free to enjoy the Comedy & Trivia night and socialize

Ticket Takers will need to use their mobile phone. Responsibilities include:

• Checking tickets at the door, scanning and/ or entering the ticket number onto a special web page using your smart phone.
• Once attendees ticket is marketed as used, the attendee will be given a wristband so they can enter and leave as needed
• One training session prior to the event, or at 4 pm on November 1st.
• Each merchandise shift will last one hour. Before and after your service commitment, you are free to enjoy the Comedy & Trivia night and socialize

Merchandise sales responsibilities include:

• Serving the requested merchandise to attendees, which will include tshirts, hats, and other swag
• Collecting payment for merchandise, which will include cash as well as using a credit card reader.
• One training session prior to the event, or at 4 pm on November 1st.
• Each merchandise shift will last one hour. Before and after your service commitment, you are free to enjoy the Comedy & Trivia night and socialize
