Possible drug use during treatment must be monitored continuously.
Fred Brown Recovery Services recognizes drug use may occur during treatment. Fred Brown Recovery Services uses monitoring both as a motivator and evaluation tool. Monitoring is an integral part of both the development and adjustment of participant’s treatment plan. Monitoring is performed randomly, with cause, and by request from the courts, employer, or social service agency. Drug use is monitored by both on-site and laboratory urinalysis. Often, participants will acknowledge their lapse when confronted with preliminary on-site results. Preliminary on-site drug screening affords the opportunity to confront the participant and address drug use immediately, before additional lapses occur and to protect other participants.
